Atrocity against Ethiopians in Saudi Arabia continues

The atrocity against Ethiopians detained in different concentration camps in Saudi Arabia
has been continuing for the past five days. It has now been learnt that two Ethiopians have
been killed yesterday. According to Ethiopians there, the two were killed during a scuffle of
separating a husband and wife.
State media said that the Ethiopian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Tedros Adhanom
has discussed with his Saudi Arabian counterpart over the phone. Dina Mufti, the Public
Relations Head of the Ministry said the attack against Ethiopians showed a slightdecrease
after the discussion of the two ministers. This statement had saddened many Ethiopians.
The Ministry also said a high level delegation has also travelled to Saudi Arabia. Dr. Tedros
has been criticised on different social media spheres for not taking the severe abuse of
Ethiopians seriously.
Many Ethiopians told ESAT that the statement of the Ministry about the decrease in attacks
was false and it has rather harshly increased. An Ethiopian residing in Riyadh said many
Ethiopians have been rounded up and are now concentrated in the desert.
