Haileamriam says to opposition “Do not fool yourself saying the government is scared”

Responding to questions posed by the members of the Parliament during his official address yesterday, Prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalgn said that the government has reached a stage where it can talk with those forces that think about “street violence”.

Hailemariam asked oppositions to stop “extreme labelling and hate politics” and those that think of organising “street violence” to refrain from their plans. “When we say we have tangible information that there are plans (by forces) of organising street violence, they think the government is afraid and has started spreading fears” He said.

“This government does not get sacred. Its own history and behaviours do not show that” Hailemariam added and said “do not fool yourself thinking that this government is scared. It is the peoples’ government and the ball is in your hands”.
